The Jokers Wild Band, a 6-piece country / rock band, based in San Antonio, Texas, was formed in the first quarter of 2002, and has since entertained thousands of audience members all the way from South Texas to Northern Montana. In 2006 Jokers Wild was honored to perform for former President George H.W. Bush, Sr. Jokers Wild has also been fortunate enough to share the stage with such legendary internationally recognized musical talent and comedic celebrities as Lee Ann Womack, The Eagles, Brooks & Dunn, The Steve Miller Band, Jeff Foxworthy and Terry Bradshaw.
"Please Catch Me," a hard driving country up tune, was written by owner, co-producer and keyboardist Buck Aaron Thomas and lead guitarist Gary Wayne Zaiontz. “If you are so totally in love with that special somebody, that they take your breath away every time they enter the room, then this is your song!” says Buck.
Jokers Wild's release of the single "Please Catch Me" follows their first release “And The Rain” in January of 2007. “We were honored to have “And The Rain” reach the #10 spot in the Hotdisc Most Popular Tracks Chart as voted on by the most influential DJs in Europe and some even further afar. Only the most elite tracks from Hotdisc deemed good enough by the greater European DJ community get into this chart on their merit, so this is a wonderful achievement for Jokers Wild. There are many international major label acts jockeying for position on this Top 40 Chart as well” says Buck.
“Please Catch Me” is the result of one complete year of recording, fine tuning, mixing and mastering. "We like to refer to this recording as the place where high quality Texas Music meets Nashville Recording Standards”, says Gary Zaiontz. “Some have said that the song is actually a rock up tune cleverly disguised as an upbeat country dance song. However it comes across to the listener, few can argue with the hard-hitting emotional power of its lyrics, and the listener’s complete inability to stop tapping their foot. This song really drives! We took great care to construct it with amazing sounding instrumentation and seamless vocals and harmonies. It just had to be as perfect as we could get it!" says Frank Lisenbee, Co-producer and President of Scorpio Productions and Green Toaster Music LLC (BMI).
"Gaining a strong presence in the international radio market, and attracting a well funded indie or major label are both very daunting tasks, even for a well established regional performance band like Jokers Wild”, says Buck Thomas. “With over two full length albums of our own great original material ready to follow this release, and the continued love and support of our families and loyal fans, I figured we stood as good, if not a better chance of making the cut as anyone else!"
